West Side United is hosting its 2025 Annual Community Convening on June 5th at 4:30pm at Malcolm X College.
This year’s theme is “Catalytic Investments on the West Side” highlighting the tremendous place-based developments that have brought new jobs and health resources to West Side neighborhoods.
The event also features a panel discussion commemorating the City of Chicago Racial Equity Rapid Response Team, including key community leaders from Austin Coming Together, Urban Prescriptives Consulting, Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation, DePaul University, and the Robert R. McCormick Foundation to reflect on the work of building community capacity five years after COVID-19 began.
