Offering the Illinois Medicaid program more flexibility, this federal 1115 waiver provides coverage for health-related social needs. It is a cornerstone of the state's vision to increase access to more equitable healthcare. Through the waiver, HFS is engaging with stakeholders, customers and sister agencies to lead the way in building more effective and people-centric healthcare.
