Westside Player Helps Others On Another Continent

It has been said that participation in the game of soccer can give one many valuable life lessons. If that is true, then Westside United's Karim P. has demonstrated that through his actions.
Karim raised money and sent it to his uncle who was spending time in Ghana, West Africa. He was able to equiped an elementary school team with shoes, socks and uniforms. The kids were taken to a nearby town market by bus, they were bought breakfast, lunch and a drink, a big first for most of them.
The donated used cleats were recycled and found new life on happy feet! Some 30 soccer balls were also distributed to boys and girls in different villages.
Karim's actions are an inspiration for all youth and participants in US soccer to do something for less fortunate children either nearby or halfway across the world!
