Westside United Places at Kent Cornucopia
First combined tournament appearance for club

All six Westside United teams participated in this past weekend's Kent Cornucopia soccer tournament. Two of the teams advanced to the Final Round in their respective divisions.
Congratulations to the Champions - the Westside BU12 Black team. This team played with heart throughout a weekend of broiling temperatures and stiff competition. In the final match against a quality Eastside FC White squad, it took until the "golden goal" overtime period for the boys to secure the win. This made the BU12 Black team a repeat champion at the tournament, having won their division in 2007. See "Golden Goal" Sequence Here
The other team securing finalist status was the BU12 Red team. They fell in the finals but had an outstanding tournament.
Both the BU11 Black and GU11 Black teams had noteworthy accomplishments, beating and/or tying a number of quality teams from the Player Development League (PDL). In the case of the BU11 Boys Black, their only losses were to the eventual finalists in their division.
The BU11 Red and GU11 Red teams made their first tournament appearances to further their development.
